John Malkovich Recreates Iconic Images with Sandro Miller

Posted on Updated on

John Malkovich has always been the most intriguing personality for me. Taking part in a movie ‘Being John Malkovich’ only proves how much he loves to experiment with the art and an artist, himself. Him, teamed up with the director Spike Jonze is just surrealist’s dream.

Right now, John Malkovich has taken part in an experiment, which gets all the social media talking. He decided to work with American photographer Sandro Miller, to recreate most iconic photographs and ‘Malkovich’ them. It is the most stunning gallery of images, and by looking at them, you realise how much Malkovich can stretch himself in the name of art. Nothing stays sacred, hidden or touched-up. We can see his face (and sometimes whole body) used as a material to mould into something else. Mould into someone else. Often the effect is stunning, as you know these photographs so well, you think you see the original, but in fact it is John Malkovich himself playing this role. Absolutely stunning, and it is yet another reason why I love this quirky and absolutely bonkers artist…
